Hooker Shoes

Have you noticed that women's heels are getting higher and higher? Women now look like ballerinas with training heels. However, most of these women have absolutely no clue how to wear these shoes. They put an extra bounce in their step (not the good kind) or they do a duck waddle just so their poor toes don't get the blunt force of hitting the front of the shoe. Sad. Instead of looking like a woman with a taunt butt (which is suppose to be the intent of heels) they end up looking like... street walkers (aka hookers). Now there's a role model for young women!!!

I did a report a couple of years ago in college about Chinese women with bound feet (if you haven't seen a picture of it, Google image it! Preferably when you're not eating). The Chinese used to believe that a woman isn't pretty unless she squeezes her foot into a shoe that is half the size of a normal foot. The women looked dainty and young with the bound feet, but they couldn't run or jump or even walk. This was how men controlled women.

In modern times women's heels are all about looking fresh and alive. They have the strength and grace to wear high, high heels... supposedly. When you see a model walking down the run way the models are young and poised and have confidence in who they are. That's what we want to see in modern day women's fashion shoes. But to quote Amanda Bynes in She's the Man (2006) "Heels are a male invention for a woman's butt to look smaller... And to make it harder to run away." Don't tell me you can out run a man by duck waddling. So here's what I propose to women: BUY GOOD HEELS AND LEARN TO WALK IN THEM! Chin up, stomach in, hips forward, butt out, toes forward and... Sashay away! (The drag queens did it so you can too!)

Men shouldn't see women in heels and think "Man, I could tap that" (although you might love the idea of teasing them). They should be thinking "Wow! She looks confident. I wonder what she's up to." Let's change the standard, ladies, and walk.

Handbook notes:
When walking the streets in heels, please walk with composure or put on flats. It is not advisable to wear "hooker" shoes unless you are one.

Be safe and look both ways.
